With my years of experience teaching youth musicians, your child will be supported, challenged, and motivated in a safe, enriching environment.

Bob Sheppard
Bob Sheppard is a versatile Los Angeles-based saxophonist and woodwind artist whose career spans over four decades. He has performed and recorded with an elite roster of jazz legends including Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Michael Brecker, Kurt Elling, and Steps Ahead, as well as icons from pop and rock such as Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, and James Taylor. A first-call session musician, Sheppard has contributed to hundreds of film and TV soundtracks, and performed in bands for Johnny Carson, Joan Rivers, and more.
As a solo artist, he has released albums such as Tell Tale Signs, Close Your Eyes, and From The Hip. He continues to collaborate with top artists like Billy Childs and Peter Erskine while maintaining an active schedule as a bandleader, performer, and clinician.
A dedicated educator, Sheppard is on faculty at the USC Thornton School of Music and frequently presents clinics across the country. Known for his improvisational mastery, stylistic range, and mentorship, he remains committed to inspiring the next generation of jazz musicians while developing new projects and recordings.

Tom Luer
Tom Luer is a Los Angeles-based saxophonist and member of Poncho Sanchez’s Latin Jazz Band. A D’Addario Woodwinds Performing Artist, he released his acclaimed album Project Popular in 2011. His extensive recording credits include Grammy-winning and nominated projects with artists such as Poncho Sanchez, John Beasley (MONK’estra), Kurt Elling, and Dave Slonaker. He has also recorded with Lee Ritenour, the Alan Chan Orchestra, and others, with music featured by NPR and in films like Daddy’s Home, Let Them All Talk, and One Night in Miami, as well as TV shows including HBO’s The Penguin and Apple TV’s Peanuts.
Tom has performed on NBC’s The Voice, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and the American Music Awards. He has toured or performed with John Beasley’s MONK’estra, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, Chucho Valdés, Queen Latifah, and more.
He currently teaches at Cal Poly Pomona as Director of the Jazz Band and Applied Saxophone Professor, with past faculty roles at institutions including the Los Angeles College of Music and the University of North Texas. He has also led the jazz program at the Shell Lake Arts Center in Wisconsin.

Ed Wynne
Ed Wynne is a Los Angeles-based saxophonist, vocalist, and songwriter whose dynamic career spans over 35 years across jazz, funk, R&B, and television. Originally from Oregon, he honed his craft in L.A.'s vibrant club scene, performing with artists like Roy "Guitar" Gaines, Ronnie Laws, and Keb Mo. By age 21, he had already collaborated with legends such as The Platters and Bill Medley.
Wynne's extensive performance credits include touring with Vesta Williams, serving as Musical Director for Wayne Brady, and playing with the Frankie Valli band. He was also a saxophonist for The Doobie Brothers during their 2002 summer tour.
In addition to live performances, Ed has contributed to numerous television and film soundtracks, including That '70s Show, Will & Grace, and the film Hancock.
Currently, he performs with Al McKay’s Allstars and leads the Ellis Hall & The Truth band. Beyond performing, Ed is the CEO of Burbank Music Academy and Executive Director of Rockin’ For The Arts, a nationally recognized nonprofit supporting arts education.

Jeff Pifher
Jeff Pifher is an award-winning saxophonist, composer, and producer known for blending jazz, film, and contemporary performance. He leads the genre-crossing ensemble Socrates’ Trial, with acclaimed releases including Anthem, Live at Bluewhale, and the award-winning documentary In the Same Direction, which garnered 24 international festival honors for “Best Documentary” and “Best Music.”
As a performer and educator, Jeff has headlined the Jazz Education Network Conference and Catalina Jazz Club, and currently serves on the jazz faculty at Idyllwild Arts Academy. He is also the founder of Next Level Sax, a digital education platform for saxophonists, and previously taught with the Herbie Hancock Institute's Jazz in the Classroom.
Jeff’s work in musical storytelling extends to film, including the short musical Somewhere and the Writing for Strings Masterclass. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Miami, and a graduate certificate from USC in Arts Entrepreneurship. He is a D’Addario Woodwinds artist and a member of the Recording Academy.
