Eric Marienthal started his professional career in 1980 with famed New Orleans trumpeter Al Hirt. After returning to Los Angeles Eric became a member of the famed Chick Corea Elektric Band. He recorded 6 CD's with the band and won 2 Grammy Awards. Eric went on to join the Jeff Lorber Fusion. Among the CD’s Eric recorded with Jeff, 2 were nominated for Grammy Awards. Jeff Lorber was instrumental is producing many of Eric’s CD’s. Other artists Eric has performed with include Elton John, Barbara Streisand, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Aaron Neville, Johnny Mathis, Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, George Duke, David Benoit, The Rippingtons, The Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band, Patti Austin, Lou Rawls, David Lee Roth, The Yellowjackets, B.B. My name is Jeff Pifher. Over the past 20 years playing sax, I’ve studied at many of the most well known jazz schools in the world, and I’ve had the privilege of playing with and learning from several of today’s top players on the scene. Throughout the years I have compiled and developed key methods and strategies that have taken my playing to the next level. I wish I would have had these exercises sooner! Now I am finally able to share these methods with you so that you can save time instead of struggling for years trying to figure out what works.

About Jeff Pifher…
Jeff Pifher is an award-winning instrumentalist, composer, and producer. He is currently a member of the Recording Academy and on the jazz faculty at Idyllwild Arts Academy. His film which chronicles his band garnered 24 “Best Documentary” and “Best Music” awards from film festivals worldwide.
Jeff has degrees from Eastman School of Music (B.M., ’07), University of Miami (M.M., ’11), and a certificate in arts entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. Recent performances include Jazz Education Network Conference 2023 (Orlando, FL) and Catalina Jazz Club (Los Angeles, CA). Jeff has been a teaching artist through the Herbie Hancock Institute and UCLA program Jazz in the Classroom.
